SMARTY is an innovative and versatile application, designed to support professionals and organizations operating in the assessment and guidance sectors. Its main focus is to facilitate the integration of migrants and promote lifelong learning through cutting-edge technological tools.

SMARTY is based on a structured model of assessment of key competences, inspired by the 2018 Council of Europe Recommendation. The competences are organized into four main areas:
Communication
Logical Thinking
Work
Democratic Culture
These areas encompass a total of 12 key competences, which represent the core of the training intervention. Within the app, these competences are explored and assessed through games and simulations designed to be intuitive and accessible, even for adult migrants with low levels of literacy.

SMARTY does not limit itself to interaction with users, but also offers advanced tools for professionals, including:
Evaluation Rubrics: practical and adaptable to different contexts.
Practical Guide to Evaluation: to guide activities with concrete and immediate advice.
Response Collection Grids: useful for monitoring progress and analyzing the results obtained.
Thanks to these tools, SMARTY guarantees a systematic and customizable approach, allowing for the development of effective and targeted training strategies.

The integration of digital technologies is the beating heart of SMARTY. The app facilitates the identification and valorization of skills acquired throughout life, promoting conscious planning of new learning and professional development objectives. This technological approach makes evaluation and orientation processes more inclusive and efficient, contributing in a concrete way to social integration and the protection of migrants fundamental rights.

SMARTY is the result of a transnational collaboration between five leading organizations in adult education, from four European countries (Italy, Germany, Sweden, Austria). The project combines experience, innovation and complementary perspectives to offer cutting-edge solutions. Project partners:
ARETÉS (Italy): leader with consolidated experience in sociological and socio-therapeutic research, already engaged in the use of digital tools for social inclusion.
FU-UPPSALA (Sweden): a point of reference for lifelong learning, with projects aimed at the empowerment and integration of immigrant women.
SOLIDARCI (Italy): specialized in the socio-economic inclusion of immigrant workers and in training to improve their employability.
VHS CHAM (Germany): the main adult training institution in the district, with experience in language training and refugee integration.
SOKO (Austria): active for over 20 years in the design of training paths for employability and social skills.
